A. Yes. You have the choice of registering with the board, or with DFO. You will only pay once. And when you register through us, you keep your money here.

Q. What is the fee used for?
A. A small percentage is used for operating expenses. Most of your fee is invested in developing and delivering training to improve the skills, knowledge, and safety of Nova Scotia fish harvesters.
